"Every colour in the Kiyaara range was chosen because it means something. Forest green was chosen because it means everything the monsoon says about the world when it arrives: that the earth is alive, that roots hold, and that what is genuinely rooted cannot be swept away."
We have always designed with nature close.
Not as a trend position. Not because green was appearing on runway mood boards or forecast reports or the colour palettes of other brands whose lead we might have chosen to follow. But because the world we are designing within, the India of rivers and forests and the monsoon that returns every year with the same breathtaking reliability, is itself a design system of extraordinary sophistication. And we have always believed that the most honest thing a design practice can do is pay attention to what already exists and find ways to carry it forward.
The monsoon, in particular, has always been present in our thinking. Not just as a season. As a philosophy. Of renewal. Of the deep satisfaction of roots that hold through whatever arrives. Of a particular quality of green that exists only in the weeks after the first rains, when the world becomes more itself than at any other time of year.
That green is in our DNA. It is in our name. It is in every piece we have made in forest green, in green ombre, in dusty teal. It is in the way we think about what colour should do for the person wearing it, and what the earth does, every monsoon, for all of us.
This is the story of how the monsoon's lushest green found its way into the Kiyaara range. Browse the full green family at our bags collection and scarves collection.
We Chose Forest Green Because It Is the Most Honest Colour We Know.
Not honest in the sense of safe. Honest in the sense of true.
Most brands choose their colours by committee. By trend forecast. By what performed well in the previous season and what the analysis suggests will perform well in the next one. Colour as calculation.
We chose our colours by asking a different question: what does this colour feel like to carry into the world? Not what does it look like on a product image. What is the lived experience of picking this up every morning, carrying it through the day, setting it down at the end of it?
The answer for forest green has always been the same. It feels settled. Not neutral. Not safe. Settled. As in: entirely at peace with what it is, requiring no external confirmation, belonging to itself completely in the way that old-growth forests belong to themselves. The woman who carries forest green is not making a statement about what is fashionable. She is expressing something true about her relationship with the world.
The Three Greens in the Kiyaara Family
Forest Green is the green of old growth. Of the forest floor in the weeks after the monsoon when the earth is at maximum richness. Of roots that go deeper than any season can disturb. It is the most settled of our greens: the one that asks nothing of the outfit around it and gives everything to it. It appears across our wallets, clutches, and backpack in the same depth of tone, consistently, because the depth is the point. Forest green that lightens becomes something else. This green does not lighten.
Green Ombre is the green of the monsoon sky at the edge of a clearing. The colour that shifts as the light shifts. The quality of the world in transition, moving from one state to another, neither fully one thing nor fully another, and entirely beautiful in the movement itself. The Luner Cylindrical Crossbody in green ombre was designed to capture exactly this: the monsoon's quality of perpetual subtle becoming, expressed as a colour that is never quite the same twice.
Dusty Teal is the green of monsoon water: river water and still water and the particular quality of colour that water takes on when the rains have been coming for long enough to deepen everything around it. It is both green and blue and entirely itself. The Auralis Handbag in dusty teal is the piece that carries this quality most completely: the colour of the season at its most complex, at the point where green has become so rich it has begun to take on depth from a different direction entirely.

A butterfly in forest green. The symbol of transformation in the colour of what the monsoon transforms.
There is a specific moment in the design of the Flutter Clutch in Forest Green where two things became one.
The Farasha collection was always about transformation. The butterfly emerging. The decision to become who you are meant to be. We had been working with this theme across the midnight blue and sky blue versions of the clutch when the forest green arrived and something shifted. The butterfly in forest green was not simply a colour variant. It was the butterfly in its natural habitat. The transformation set against the very colour that transformation, in nature, produces.
The monsoon transforms the landscape into forest green. And the butterfly that Farasha celebrates is, in the natural world, a creature of forests and green spaces. The Flutter Clutch in Forest Green is the piece where the Farasha story and the monsoon story are most completely the same story.
We carry it with that understanding. Not as a product. As a piece of genuine continuity between what nature does every monsoon season and what we try to do every time we sit down to make something worth making.

We Have Drawn Three Lessons from the Monsoon That Inform Everything We Make
"The monsoon does not consult a trend forecast. It arrives in the same green every year because that is the green that belongs to the season. We aspire to the same quality of commitment in our colours. Not the colour that is fashionable. The colour that is true."
Lesson One: The Most Enduring Colours Are the Ones That Were Never Trends
Forest green existed before any fashion cycle. It will exist after any fashion cycle. The tree does not change its colour because a forecaster suggested a different direction for the season. The monsoon does not adjust its palette based on what appeared at Milan. This is the quality we admire most in a colour and the quality we build into our own: the colour that is correct because it has always been correct, not because it is correct this year. The woman who carries forest green in 2026 will carry it in 2028 without adjustment. The colour will not have dated. It will have deepened.
Lesson Two: Green Is Not a Single Thing
The monsoon teaches this directly. Walk through a forest in the weeks after the first rains and count the greens. The floor, the canopy, the filtered light, the water, the moss, the fern, the older trees, the newer growth: every surface is green and no two greens are the same. We have tried to carry this lesson into our colour family. Forest green and green ombre and dusty teal are not three variations of the same thing. They are three distinct greens that belong to three distinct relationships with the world, three personalities, three ways of being rooted in nature without being identical to each other.
Lesson Three: What Is Rooted Can Be Beautiful Without Being Fragile
The tree that survives the monsoon is not the one that bends to avoid every raindrop. It is the one whose roots go deep enough that it can stand in the rain and be fully present for it. We think about our vegan leather materials in the same terms. The surface that holds its colour and its form through the monsoon season is doing the same thing the forest does: demonstrating that genuine quality is not preserved by being protected from the world. It is demonstrated by engaging with the world and coming through the encounter looking exactly as intended.
The Bag That Carries the Monsoon Green Into Every Working Day of the Season
Light, joyful, and easy to carry. And the deepest forest green we make.
The Elisse Backpack in Forest Green at Rs. 4,950 is the piece that best demonstrates what we mean by the forest green design commitment.
It is not a bag that is green because green was suggested as a good choice for a backpack. It is a bag that is green because forest green is what the Elisse is. The colour and the design arrived together. The lightness of the Elisse, its quality of being joyful to carry rather than dutiful to carry, is expressed most completely in forest green. The darkness of the tone anchors the lightness of the form. The result is a bag that feels both grounded and free, rooted and in motion, which is precisely what we were reaching for.
In monsoon 2026, the Elisse in Forest Green is the work bag that belongs to the season. Not because it is green and the season is green, though that is true. Because the qualities the season teaches, rootedness, resilience, the beauty of being fully present in whatever weather arrives, are the same qualities the bag embodies. We did not plan that correspondence. It arrived, as the best correspondences do, by following the design to its true conclusion.

The Green That Wraps Around You. The Scarf That Carries the Monsoon Beyond the Bag.
Because the design DNA does not stop at the bag. It runs through everything we make.
We made the Meadow Stole in Forest Green at Rs. 1,650 because the forest green story wanted to be told at a larger scale.
The bag carries the colour. The stole carries it differently: draped over the shoulder, wrapped around the neck, held across the arm. The Meadow Stole is a canvas the size of a season. Forest green at the scale of the meadow itself rather than the scale of the accessory. And it completes the green story in the way that only a piece at a different scale can: by demonstrating that the colour is not a detail but a language, one that can be spoken softly in a card holder and loudly in a stole and remains the same language throughout.
Pair it with the forest green Elisse for the most complete expression of the monsoon green design DNA. Carry both into October and discover that the colour of the monsoon season does not leave when the rains do. It stays in the pieces that were chosen to carry it forward.
